“God’s Eye” is the affectionate name I give to my camera. Life is all around us and it is my passion to freeze that moment in time with my camera. Pictures convey a story and share emotions with others. Pictures convey a thousand words in a blink of an eye. Pictures are what are treasured when the moment in time has passed. Pictures are LIFE! Let me share my life with you!
First, to know my work and my passion for photography, it is good to know a little bit about me. People ask me all the time, “When did you get started?” Years ago I had the opportunity to live and work as a Dental Hygienist in Switzerland. This opened my eyes to the world beauty of many lands and cultures. One of my first “good” pictures I took was the famous “Jungfrau” mountain range while hiking the Swiss Alps. I was able to travel to many parts of the world and see what many only get a chance to dream about going to one day. This was the beginning of my passion to capture the amazing views that God created and to share it with others.
As the years went by, I got married, moved to the Texas Hill County, and became a mother to two girls. We started raising chickens and loving the good life in the country. Instead of gallivanting around the country as I did when I was single, I learned of the beauty in fur and feathered friends, old barns, blankets of flowers, and lazy rivers of the Texas Hill Country. I started to capture the nature scenes of Texas and treasured the everyday “Kodak moments” around me.
At first I would display my pictures on my walls at work to share with my patients. It was a way I could always stay “on vacation” by always seeing the photos of my travel and life’s memories. Soon people asked to purchase my art and I began donating pictures to various charity events. I figured if God had given me a gift, then it was my gift to help raise money for others with my art. I found I really enjoyed going to events and photographing everyone dressed up and having fun. Now I photograph many corporate and private events and enjoy meeting so many people from all walks of life. My art will soon be part of a new art gallery in Spring Branch, Texas called Casa del Parque-Galeria in the Villages of Sherty Oaks. Please feel free to contact me and get on my mailing list for upcoming gallery events.
